Twenty years ago Susie, Hope, Barbara and Sharon decided they could not let the LGBTQ dance lessons and events die that had been struggling along led by Mr. Bill. They pooled their funds and all the tasks of music, dance, teaching and administration to sustain a thriving social dance club. They later recruited long term, hard-working board members and volunteers who have helped keep the community building social dance club alive for twenty years. Their vision and continual work has clearly positively impacted lesbians and others in the LGBTQ community around the region. Susie Pringle, one of the original founders, is transitioning into retirement from the board, teaching and DJing after two decades.
