What it means to show up: ICE protestors in downtown Boulder hope demonstrations make a difference KGNU News
About 100 people gathered in downtown Boulder Saturday to rally in protest of ICE, calling for an end to the Trump administration’s immigration raids and deportations.
Despite the record-breaking summer heat, demonstrators waved American flags, held handmade signs, and filled the area with music and chants as passing motorists honked in support.
KGNU’s Don Davis was there, and he spoke with some of the demonstrators, including organizer Kenneth Nova.
He asked Nova about protest fatigue– whether it feels like demonstrating is making a difference, and why people keep showing up week after week to send a message to their neighbors.
