Walking in Two Worlds: Tlingit Community and Logging in the Tongass Rainforest

Independently produced Walking in Two Worlds is a 70 minute documentary that explores the human and cultural relationship between Native American tribes and their ancestral land in the Tongass, the largest temperate rainforest on earth. Worlds collide when the Alaska Native Claims Settlement Act turns tribes into corporations and sparks a lengthy logging frenzy. A story of division and redemption plays out between a Tlingit brother and sister, showing the possibility of healing both the forest and the native community.

Maeve Conran spoke to the producer of the film Bo Boudart. He’ll be attending a screening of Walking in two Worlds as part of Boulder’s Moondance International film festival.
