Vintage Theatre Presents Regional Premiere of Romantic Comedy, “Fireflies”

Vintage Theatre is kicking off the new year by featuring the regional premiere of Fireflies. In this romantic comedy, retired schoolteacher Eleanor Bannister lives a quiet life in Groverdell, Texas. Set in her routine, everything gets turned upside down when a hole in her roof draws the attention of Abel Brown, a smooth talking drifter intent on renovating Eleanor’s roof, and possibly her life!

Fireflies premiers with both in-person and virtual streaming performance beginning January 7. KGNU’s Veronica Straight-Lingo had a chance to speak with Vintage Artistic Director and Fireflies Director Bernie Cardell about the show, and about running Vintage Theatre in the time of COVID.
