Uninsured Healthcare Rates in Colorado kgnu
Colorado citizens between the ages of 19 to 29 have the highest rate of uninsured. Michelle Lueck heads the Colorado Health Institute and says overall the report is still positive because it shows Colorado maintaining historic gains.
These changes are really durable changes, they weren’t some anecdote, they weren’t a spike in the system. We were seeing these sustained changes over time.
While a lot people have health insurance now, data shows the affordable care act isn’t affordable for everyone. Cost was the main reason people cited for not being insured. The western corners of the state had the highest percentage of people without insurance.
