Trump Calls Jason Crow, Five Other Dems Traitors

After six democrats called the U.S. army to uphold the constitution and defy “illegal orders,” president Trump accused the lawmakers of sedition, remarking that the practice was punishable with death.

The call to the U.S. army came in the form of a 90-second video posted Thursday on Senator Elissa Slotkin’s X account. In the video, Michigan Sen. Elissa Slotkin, Representatives Mark Kelly, Jason Crow, Chris Deluzio, Maggie Goodlander and Chrissy Houlahan urge U.S. forces to “don’t give up the ship.”

The video doesn’t mention what the “illegal orders” are. But the post comes as the Trump administration continues deploying the National Guard in U.S. cities.

President Trump responded to the video with another social media post. He called the video “dangerous to our country” end. And called for the arrest of the democrat lawmakers, remarking that seditious behavior was punishable by death.

All these lawmakers are veterans of the armed services and intelligence community.

Colorado Goes Against Federal Intoxicating Hemp Ban

A provision in the must-pass federal spending bill banned the sale of intoxicating hemp products, but Colorado Democrats are poised to legalize the loophole substances.

The federal government banned hemp products producing an effect similar to marijuana that contain over .4 milligrams of THC – according to Colorado Politics this encompasses 95 percent of the products on the market.

Colorado has a regulatory framework put in place from a 2023 bill to regulate hemp-derived Delta 8 along with other ‘intoxicating hemp’ products such as vapes, smokeables and beverages. This law also allows for the production of intoxicating hemp, so long as it’s sold outside of the state.

Advocates for the product say it’s a way for those who sell hemp and marijuana products to stay in business. According to Colorado Politics, a bill is expected to be produced in the 2026 state legislature that will allow an increase in THC content cap for intoxicating hemp products.

Proponents say this practice will allow THC alternatives to be sold outside dispensaries, allowing state regulations to join other states that allow the sale of intoxicating hemp products with moderate THC dosages at stadiums and recreation areas.

The Academy Development Plan Approved for The North Boulder Complex Sale

The Boulder County Commissioners voted 2-1 to complete the sale of the North Broadway complex this past Tuesday. The development, known as being the crux of the Save Iris Fields advocacy program, was sold to The Academy for development of their community-backed plan.

According to Boulder Reporting Lab, The Academy contracting group will play $26 million for the site and plans to hand over the entitlement of the Iris Park Ball Fields to the City of Boulder in exchange for cash or land-use rights.

The Boulder County Commissioners said the result of the community plan that helps preserve the baseball fields on 14th street and Iris was overwhelming – saying the community action influenced their decision on the proposal.

New Boulder Local Minimum Wage Schedule

In another county-wide vote this week, Boulder County Commissioners voted to align unincorporated Boulder County’s minimum wage schedule with the Consumer Price Index, increasing the minimum earnings year over year.

The first increase will take place at the beginning of 2026, moving the minimum wage in the area up to $16.82 per hour. By 2030, the minimum wage for unincorporated Boulder County will be $18.93 per hour.

This figure is lower than the previously proposed minimum wage schedule for the area, which was slated to reach $25 per hour by 2030. The Commissioners say this new vote, aligning with the minimum wage schedule in the City of Boulder, is in response to concerns from Boulder-area farmers and business owners.

BLM Legal Uncertainty of Oil and Gas Rules

Environmental advocates say over five thousand oil and gas leases across the West could be violating federal law.

That’s after Congress overturned resource management plans at BLM offices in Alaska, Montana, and North Dakota.

The plans, created at the local level, establish what land and resources are open for extraction, as well as sensitive areas that require protection.

In a letter to the BLM’s acting director, advocacy groups say the agency should pause oil and gas leasing altogether until it can get clarity on what they can and can’t do without a plan in place.

Michael Carroll with the Wilderness Society says this decision from Congress threw the validity of resource management plans across the country into question. He told Rocky Mountain Community Radio, “If we don’t have resource management plans in place… then it’s illegal for the agency, the BLM, to be issuing permits for everything from outfitters and guides, to oil and gas leases, to grazing leases.”

The BLM says it has no comment on the allegations of legal uncertainty.
