To mark the 50th year since the signing of the Wilderness Act in 1964, authors, professors, historians, activists and Colorado’s poet laureate are gathering at a forum at the University of Colorado Law School in Boulder. Two of the participants in the “Celebrating the Great Law: The Wilderness Act at 50” event are Charles Wilkinson, distinguished professor of law at CU Law School and Scott Miller with the Wilderness Society who described to KGNU the legacy of the Wilderness Act.
Charles Wilkinson says the Wilderness Act is one of the most important pieces of conservation legislation ever signed into law.
