“The Never Summer” is a dark, dystopian fairy tale set in a futuristic Denver, where Lee and her friend Janie live on a subway platform as they work low-paying jobs and struggle to save any money for a place to live. Everything changes when Lee begins to hear Corva, the voice of the Subway terminal, talking to her directly. The Never Summer is sold out at Theatre 29, but there’s a waitlist and standing room only tickets for this 75 minute show. KGNU’s Veronica Straight-Lingo had the opportunity to speak with playwright, Ellen K. Graham about her inspiration for writing this dark and beautiful show.
