Latinx dance artist and percussionist Jesús David Muñoz blends Indigenous, Mexican, and Afro-Cuban traditions with ballet and contemporary forms to create spaces where movement tells the story of a people. On Storytellers of Color, he shares with KGNU’s Rossana Longo how Tumbao Social and community collaborations — from Denver’s Five Points to Boulder’s Flagstaff Mountain — are redefining cultural dance in Colorado.
