The Tara High School for Performing Arts in Boulder was founded in 1993 as an after-school musical theatre program and developed into a full blown high school that the founders say is the only Waldorf performing arts high school in the world.

The school is hoping to purchase and renovate the Nomad Playhouse in North Boulder and this weekend they’re hosting a weekend benefit gala at the Nomad.
Maeve Conran spoke with Greg Fisher, one of the co-founders of the Tara Performing and Joan Wernick who will be performing on Sunday at the Nomad as part of the benefit gala.
