UnidosUS, formerly National Council of La Raza, the nation’s largest Latino civil rights and advocacy organization is joining with CLLARO, Colorado Latino Leadership, Advocacy and Research Organization, to host a roundtable discussion in Denver on its Latino Family Agenda and important federal policy priorities that will benefit Colorado’s Latino families.
UnidosUS policy experts join elected officials, community organizations and advocates to discuss how Latinos are faring economically, and they will focus on health care, tax policy and Latinas in the workforce.
Michael Cortes with CLLARO says that Latinos comprise more than 20 percent of Colorado population and are a growing force of the state’s economy with a growing political influence.
