In an effort to amplify the work being done on the streets every single day by dedicated changemakers standing up for justice and speaking out against those in power who are attacking our friends and neighbors, we’re going to start posting a “Resistance Calendar” to our website on Thursdays.
Here are some of the events, actions, and protests happening in Colorado over the next seven days.
Friday, 3/7:
What: Colorado Climate Lobby Day 2025
Who is organizing: Physicians for Social Responsibility
When: Friday, March 7 from 8 a.m. – 1 p.m.
Where: First Baptist Church of Denver 1373 Grant St Denver, CO 80203
Why: Organizers say “Join PSR Colorado for the 10th annual Climate Lobby Day on March 7th, a critical opportunity to advocate for strong climate policies and ensure our voices are heard at the Colorado State Capitol.”
Friday, 3/7:
What: Musk or Us: Demand Gabe Evans Fight Back
Who is organizing: Indivisible
When: Friday, March 7 from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. (every Friday “until we run him out of office”)
Where: 10701 Melody Dr., Northglenn
Why: Organizers say “Gabe Evans doubles down on our immigrant communities, ignores his constituents, and is not doing his job.”
Friday, 3/7:
What: Stand up for Science
Who is organizing: Stand up for Science
When: Friday, March 7
Where: At CU Boulder (starts at noon), at Colorado School of Mines (starts at noon), at Colorado State Capitol (starts at 1 p.m.)
Why: Organizers say, “Science shapes our world, drives innovation, and protects our future—but it needs voices like yours to defend and champion it. We want to hear your story.”
If your city isn’t listed, or you can’t make it to an official rally, you can still make your voice heard by joining the nationwide campus and workplace walkout at 12:00 p.m.
Friday, 3/7:
What: An Afternoon with Danielle SeeWalker (a mobile tour of her murals, followed by an artist’s talk)
Who is organizing: CU Ethnic Studies Department
When: Friday, March 7. Mobile Tour of campus murals with the artist (2:30-3 p.m.) Artist’s Talk (4:30-6:30 p.m.)
Where: Meet at Ketchum Building (east entrance) for the Mobile Tour. Go to Paleo Hall at the CU Museum of Natural History for the Artist’s Talk.
Why: Danielle SeeWalker is a Hunkpapa Lakota citizen of the Standing Rock Sioux Tribe, and who will be providing a mobile tour of her murals on campus, followed by an artist’s talk. She works across disciplines to explore the intersections of Native American stereotypes, microaggressions, and colonialist systems – elevating historical perspectives as told from the side not often heard.
Saturday, 3/8:
What: Tesla Takedown
Who is organizing: Tesla Takedown
When: Saturday, March 8 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Where: Littleton Tesla Dealership 5700 S Broadway, Littleton, CO 80121 US
Why: Organizers say, “We are taking action at Tesla. Sell your Teslas, dump or short their stock, join the picket lines. Hurting Tesla is stopping Musk. Stopping Musk will help save lives and our democracy. The stakes couldn’t be higher. No one is coming to save us—not politicians, not the media.”
Saturday, 3/8:
What: International Women’s Day Protest
Who is organizing: Multiple groups, including Denver Anti-War Action, Aurora Undidos CSO, FRSO Denver, as part of annual protests efforts
When: Saturday, March 8 at 2 pm
Where: Colorado State Capitol
Why: Organizers say, “Join us for a protest at the state capitol for International Women’s Day! The movement for women’s liberation has always been tied to other liberation movements! We know that our oppression is connected, through attacks on immigrant’s rights, the stripping away of reproductive and queer rights here at home, and attacks on women worldwide through U.S. aggression and intervention in foreign countries. The end of the U.S. war machine will bring forth the liberation of millions of women worldwide! Denver Anti-War Action condemns the oppression of women, both foreign and domestic, and joins alongside Aurora Undidos CSO and FRSO Denver to stand up and fight back!”
Sunday, 3/9:
What: Justice for Ukraine Rally
Who is organizing: Ukrainians of Colorado
When: Sunday, March 9 from 12-3 p.m.
Where: Colorado State Capitol
Why: Organizers say “After this past week’s deeply concerning events – with the federal government pausing intelligence sharing with Ukraine, with Trump attempting to freeze nearly $2 in foreign aid as part of his move to slash government spending, the org gathering to say: We stand with Ukraine. We stand with President Zelenskyy. We demand action.”
Monday, 3/10:
What: Rally to Support Workers – Say No to Wage Cuts
Who is organizing: Colorado Working Families Party
When: Monday, March 10 5:30-6:30 p.m.
Where: Glen Huntington Bandshell, Canyon Blvd., Boulder
Why: Protesting House Bill 1208 – a controversial bill in Colorado that would slash tipped workers’ wages in the name of restaurant relief and fairer wages for back-of-house employees. The rally calls on people to come stand in solidarity against this “attack” on working families and service workers.
