The Center for the Study and Prevention of Violence is a research program of the Institute of Behavioral Science at CU-Boulder. It was founded in 1992 and aims to bridge the gap between research and practice and it’s currently working in the Montbello neighborhood in Denver. The STEPS to success program in Montbello is a 5 year grant funded by the Center for Disease Control and is a partnership between the community and the university in an effort to reduce violence in the neighborhood.
