Phamaly Theatre Grows International Collaboration with Honk! Premiering January 11

Phamaly Theatre Company has spent three decades in Denver creating innovative theater that features actors and production crews with disabilities and they are ringing in 2020, and their 31st season, with a brand new show at the Aurora Fox. It’s called Honk, a re-imagining of the Ugly Duckling Fable, and it is being produced and performed in collaboration with The Nippon Foundation, a Japanese organization that champions inclusivity and strives to give all of humanity the chance to participate in creating our future. Phamaly will be performing Honk at the Aurora Fox starting Saturday, January 11th through the 26th. And then, the company members of Phamaly will fly to Tokyo to perform Honk at Tokyo’s Toshima-ku Theatre on February 15th and 16th. KGNU’s Veronica Straight-Lingo had a chance to talk about this collaboration and about this show with Stacey D’Angelo, the Director of Honk.
