People’s Climate March on Denver

On Saturday amidst snow and cold temperatures many people marched in Denver calling for action on climate change.  The Denver Post said the crowd included several thousand.  The march was part of about 300 other gatherings around the country.  Eight groups organized the event that started and ended at Denver’s Civic Center.

At one point Activists posed in the shape of a giant thermometer symbolizing the Earth’s climbing temperatures.  About a dozen people rode stationary bikes to power loudspeakers for those who addressed the gathering.

KGNU’s Nikki Kayser spoke with some of the people who braved the snow to have their voices heard.
