On today’s Morning Magazine, we’ll hear about a new report that documents deaths at Native American boarding schools — and we’ll talk with a boarding school survivor.

A report released last week found that at least 65 students died at two Native American boarding schools operating in Colorado over a century ago. The new research adds to the growing body of information on the abuses inflicted upon indigenous children under a federal program of assimilation at hundreds of boarding schools across the country.
