David Miller: Got a friend here in the studio with me tonight helping me get through this show. It’s local drummer Brian Dillon, who plays in several bands. Welcome to the studio.
Bonfire Dub: Thank you so much.
David Miller: Thanks for being here. This is great. Bonfire Dub is a band that you play with. You guys have a new EP coming out, is that correct?
Bonfire Dub: That’s right. Thanks so much for having me here, Dave. It’s awesome to be here. We have a really cool EP coming out this Wednesday.
David Miller: Okay.
Bonfire Dub: It’s just a couple days away—or I guess a day now. The EP has three tracks produced by Dan Africano from Theory Corporation.
David Miller: Okay.
Bonfire Dub: We’re really excited about them. If you’re interested in learning more about Bonfire Dub, visit bonfiredub.com, where you can find information about the band, upcoming shows, and more.
David Miller: Right on. We have one of those tracks. I believe “Stars” is the track. Is that correct?
Bonfire Dub: Yep, that’s the title track on the EP.
David Miller: So we’re going to hear that, and then we’re going to listen to a really old track from you guys. What year would that have been?
Bonfire Dub: Oh man, I think that was “Evergreen.” That was recorded at a Cactus Jack’s show in Evergreen in 2009.
David Miller: Okay. I was the audio engineer, Brian was playing in the band, and I have a recording of it that we’re going to listen to.
Bonfire Dub: That’s right.
