Lyons resident Bonnie Sue Hitchcock and her family were forced to flee their home in the confluence area of Lyons as the South St. Vrain River and the North St. Vrain River burst their banks on the night of September 11th 2013.
Bonnie Sue’s house was destroyed and like many of her neighbors is still living in temporary accommodation. A series of delays in getting insurance money and building permits means that it may still be many months before her home will be rebuilt.
