KGNU’s Steve Miller on what a Parkinson’s diagnosis really means KGNU News

April is Parkinson’s Awareness Month, and around one million people in the United States are living with the disease, including longtime KGNU volunteer Steve Miller. He was diagnosed with Parkinson’s a year ago. Maeve Conran spoke with Miller about what that diagnosis means and why he’s choosing to speak about it.

Miller and Conran will be back on our KGNU this Thursday morning from 8:30 to 9:30 for a special call-in show. They’ll be joined by a neurologist, a caregiver and a representative from the Davis Phinney Foundation, a local nonprofit supporting people with Parkinson’s and their families.

This story aired on the Morning Magazine, KGNU’s weekday morning show featuring in-depth discussions on local news issues. Click here to listen to other episodes of the Morning Magazine.
