The Jaipur Literature Festival runs from September 21st to September 23rd at the Boulder Public Library. It’s the fourth year that the festival has come to Boulder. Jessie Friedman, Executive Director for ZEE JLF at Boulder, first had the idea to bring what is described as the “greatest literary show on earth” to Colorado having attended the event in India.

Jaipur Literature Festival 2018 KGNU News
Ruby Lal is one of the speakers attending the festival. Lal is an acclaimed historian of Mughal India. Her previous books include, Domesticity and Power in the Early Mughal World and Coming of Age in Nineteenth Century India: The Girl-Child and the Art of Playfulness. Her most recent book is a work of creative nonfiction titled, Empress: The Astonishing Reign of Nur Jahan. She will speak about that book on Sunday September 23rd at 2.30pm at the Canyon Theater.
