A proposal to raise the minimum wage in Colorado from 8 dollars and thirty-one cents an hour to twelve dollars an hour in the year 2020 will go before voters. Supporters say the state needs a living wage, meanwhile many business groups worry it will lead to layoffs and make things worse for hourly workers.
