“I don’t want to see any more wars:” The national movement leading weekly overpass demonstrations KGNU News

Every week on a highway overpass in Boulder, a group of senior citizens gathers, holding signs along the bridge with slogans like “ICE OUT” and “No Fascism.”

They’re part of a national movement known as the Visibility Brigade, a network of grassroots groups that use highly visible public spaces, such as overpasses, to share pro-democracy messages with passing commuters.

CU Boulder student Savannah Behr spoke with demonstrators and reported this story for Rocky Mountain Community Radio.

This story aired on the Morning Magazine, KGNU’s weekday morning show featuring in-depth discussions on local news issues. Click here to listen to other episodes of the Morning Magazine.
