On today’s Morning Magazine, we check in with local urban farm, Growing Gardens, to find out how the drought is affecting their ability to grow fruits and vegetables this year.

This winter was one of Colorado’s warmest and driest on record. In our community, small farms already face tight margins and other challenges like high land costs.

How are they preparing for the difficult growing season ahead? To find out, KGNU’s Pam Johnson dropped by the plant sale at Growing Gardens in Boulder and spoke with  Growing Gardens food project manager Tim Villard.
