Honoring Martin Cobin

For many years Martin Cobin shared his poems with the KGNU listening audience.  Martin died peacefully at his home last Wednesday at the age of 94 having lived a long and rich life which took him to Mexico, East Asia and ultimately Boulder.  We were honored to air his poetry and this morning we bring you the last poem recorded for KGNU by Martin. It was recorded on October 31st, just 5 days before he passed away.

Born in New York City to Rose and Joseph Bernard Cohen, Martin found various ways to pursue his passion for studying communication and its impact on human affairs. He received his Ph.D. from the University of Wisconsin and went on to teach theatre at West Virginia University, the University of Illinois, and the University of Colorado at Boulder, where he eventually became professor emeritus.
