Dr. Gabor Maté is a Hungarian born Canadian physician who specializes in the study and treatment of addiction as well as childhood development. He is the author of several books including “In the Realm of Hungry Ghosts.”
Maté is renowned for his work with inner-city drug addicts in Vancouver Canada.
He will be appearing at a day long symposium on Trauma and Addiction: on August 27th at Naropa University in Boulder.
He spoke with KGNU’s Shelley Schlender.
