“Our PACE advisers help businesses save energy, reduce waste, conserve and protect water and use alternative forms of transportation, so it really is a one stop shop.”
Lea Yancey, community sustainability specialist with Boulder County which administers the Partners for a Clean Environment or PACE program. She says the program works with all brick and mortar business, small and large in Boulder County and it helps businesses achieve their sustainability goals by providing customized one on one advising, financial incentives and then certification and recognition. There is no cost to the business community thanks to funding from Boulder County and the cities of Boulder and Longmont.
Pace has been around since 1993 and has worked with 3300 business, which is over half the business community in the county.
