Mindful Works is a Boulder nonprofit that provides job training and employment opportunities for folks recovering from mental illness.

Susan Williams, Executive Director of Mindful Works, says work works! “So, having a meaningful activity is so critical. It’s a tenet of recovery. And work is probably the most powerful, meaningful activity because you’re making something, you’re doing something. You’re part of a production team. You’re also getting paid.”

The apprentices behind the social enterprise specialize in making and selling handcrafted items such as wellness, meditation, and home decor products and baked goods that includes dog biscuits.

Williams encourages people to check out the mindful-works.org website for more information about the organization, ways to donate, and to shop for their products online including customized collaborations, orders, and much more.
