Denver Community Forum on Race

Hundreds of people gathered at the History Colorado center in Denver for a community forum hosted by Denver Mayor Michael Hancock and was a response to recent community protests and student walk outs in the community.  Panelists included student activists, community activists and Denver’s Police Chief. The panelists started the forum by commenting on the nationwide movement that has emerged in reaction to recent events in Ferguson and New York. We hear from Lisa Calderon, director of the Community Reentry Project, Denver Police Chief Robert White and Anpa’o Locke with the Denver Center For International Studies.
