CU Boulder Freeride hosted its first Student & Community Ski Film Competition at the Fox Theatre on Saturday. Filmmakers from the club and the broader Boulder community were invited to create original ski films, with winning entries screened at the event. Local indie rock band The Speeks performed after the screenings.

KGNU’s Jenny Ellis sat down with the organizers to look into how the event came together, and spoke with student musicians about supporting it.
