It’s harvest season in Boulder County and local trees are full of fruit that has ripened quickly with recent hot weather. The bounty is a blessing and a problem. On Radio Nibbles, John Lehndorff talked with Melanie Hill, Executive Director of Boulder’s Community Fruit Rescue, about the non-profit’s efforts to harvest fruit from backyard trees to keep bears out of trouble, supply food banks and feed farm animals.
