Metro Arts: Colorado Brazil Fest Fundraiser with Choro Das 3

The Colorado Brazil Fest will be this August, and it is the premiere event to showcase Brazilian food, music and culture here in Colorado. As part of their fundraising efforts, the Boulder Samba School has invited the Brazilian ensemble Choro Das 3, to perform Friday night, May 29 at the Boulder Mennonite Church. Doors open at 7 with a silent auction and the concert begins at 8.

KGNU’s Veronica Straight-Lingo spoke with Celia Macedo with the Boulder Samba School, who herself hails from Brazil, what it means to experience Brazilian culture here and share it with the community. Greg La Liberte and Dan Curtiss also talk about the unique beauty of the many diverse types of music which come from Brazilian culture.
