Celebrating Secular Diversity in Aurora

Atheists, Humanists and Secularists will gather in Aurora this weekend for the the third annual Colorado Secular Conference being held Friday evening, August 15, through Sunday, August 17, in Aurora, Colorado, at the Radisson Hotel Denver Southeast at 3155 S. Vaughn Way, Aurora.

Ahead of the conference a giant billboard with the words: “Don’t believe in a god? Join the celebration” superimposed over an image of a crowd of conference attendees is now visible at 21st and California Streets in downtown Denver.  The billboard has been placed by the Colorado Coalition of Reason (COCORE), an alliance of twenty-eight atheist, freethought and humanist groups working together across the state.

Tom Kellog, conference organizer came by the KGNU studio to talk about why secularism is important in society.
