State lawmakers will have about 250 million more dollars to work with than was projected last December. Republican Senator Kevin Lundberg of Berthoud is a member of the joint budget committee… “The decisions become a little simpler for the joint budget committee.”
But there are conflicting proposals. Republicans want to send a ballot question to voters to issue bonds for major road projects, while some Democrats don’t want to lock in state money long-term for roads and instead want more money to go to education and other priorities.
“The word feeding frenzy comes to my mind when we speak of a lot of money on the table.”
