Boulder spring farming update KGNU News

On this week’s edition of Radio Nibbles, host John Lehndorff discusses spring farming updates with a local farmer, Oliver Aurand of Boulder’s Friends Farm.

In local food news, The Spring Regeneration Fest is April 19 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Yellow Barn Farm, north of Boulder. This is a unique collaboration between Slow Food Boulder County, Boulder County Farmers Markets, Soil Boulder, MASA Seed Foundation and other organizations.

The goal is to introduce families to the local foodscape with activities that connect community, health, and the environment with food. Free events include farm tours, a seed planting table, farmer Olympics, ecstatic dance and games, as well as two food trucks. RSVP at yellowbarn.farm/events-ss/springregenfest.
