Senior Law Day is an annual event in Boulder County, offering seniors and their caregivers and opportunity to hear about the most pressing legal issues facing elders – from Medicaid, to creating wills and advance directives.
On Saturday September 23, at the Plaza Conference Center in Longmont, elder law experts from across the county will present sessions on a variety of subjects including: identity theft, choosing fiduciaries, general estate planning, and creating a care plan for pets after you’re gone. The event includes an “Ask a Lawyer” session, which requires advance registration. Those attending will receive a handbook and lunch. The door price is $10.
We hear from two of the presenters: Jane Walsh, Director of Community Protection with the Boulder County Office of the District Attorney, and Pete Rogers, a local elder law attorney.
