Boulder County Commissioners to consider fracking moratorium extension

The Boulder County Commissioners will hear public comment today as they consider whether to extend the current moratorium on oil and gas activity in the county.

Today’s public input session starts at 2pm at the Plaza Event Center, 1850 Industrial Circle, Longmont.

A public meeting has been scheduled for Thursday, Nov. 13th at 9:30 a.m. in the Commissioners’ Hearing Room for deliberation and the actual vote. No further public comment will be taken at that time.

The current oil and gas development moratorium is set to expire on January 1, 2015. The Commissioners previously extended the moratorium in June 2013.
