During the spring semester of 2023, Boulder High School’s AVID program collaborated with KGNU Media Gardens to produce short podcasts with the graduating senior class of 2023. These students took this opportunity to learn how to produce high quality audio pieces and reflect on their experiences. Some of the topics include students of color in predominantly white spaces, the threats of gun violence in schools, machismo in Latinx culture. We hope these podcasts serve as a meaningful memento for the AVID community as these graduating students proceed into a new stage in their lives. Thank you to the AVID Coordinator, Jennifer Douglas-Larsson for collaborating with KGNU Media Gardens to elevate diverse youth voices.
Pioneering Dreams
