The 2013 floods displaced residents from towns all throughout the Front Range. Communities are now working to bring residents home and to restore neighborhoods – for economic and for social reasons. We hear from
Deserai Anderson Crow, Ph.D., Associate Director at the Center for Environmental Journalism who has been looking at the recovery process after the flood in Boulder, Weld and Larimer Counties. She is an expert on the processes flood-affected communities are using to recover from the floods and the policies they are putting in place to promote recovery.
We also hear from Jennifer Dinger, a doctoral candidate in management and entrepreneurship at the Leeds School of Business, who has studied the economic resilience of communities following natural disasters and the decision by entrepreneurs to reinvest and rebuild or not.
