After The Flood – Radio Documentary

This documentary received a PRNDI award in 2015. Each year Public Radio News Directors Inc., (PRNDI) honors the best work being done by local public radio stations.

In Division C (stations with small newsrooms) KGNU won the second place award in the “Short Documentary” category for Maeve Conran’s documentary After the Flood.

The town of Lyons was one of the hardest hit in the 2013 floods.  While the town has recovered in numerous ways in the past 12 months, many residents are still displaced and the way forward is still uncertain.
