Artificial intelligence in the classroom and at home — A Public Affair KGNU News

On today’s A Public Affair, local author and consultant Michael Whitaker speaks with host Sam Fuqua.

They discuss how students and parents are navigating the world of AI, and what the future of AI looks like in academic and personal life.

“ You can’t be an expert in AI without having mastery in a field,” Whitaker states. “And this is really important for our students, that mastery still matters. Even when surface-level intelligence is widely available, we still want our students to care deeply enough about a subject area to go deep, to develop their own knowledge, to be able to shape the power of these tools.”

This story aired on A Public Affair, KGNU’s weekday morning show featuring in-depth discussions on local news issues. Click here to listen to other episodes of A Public Affair.
