Exploring self-expression and community at FANEXPO Denver

FAN EXPO Denver is a 3-day celebration of all things fandom and pop culture that offers exciting family-friendly attractions, events, and world-renowned celebrities. From July 4-7, pop culture enthusiasts gathered in Denver for the premiere event for all things sci-fi, horror, anime, and gaming in Colorado.

Fandom is a participatory culture, meaning that not only are the members consumers, but also producers themselves. Fandom often produces fan fictions, fan arts, fan videos, cosplay, and more.

KGNU intern Jinx Wilson visited the convention to learn more about the unity and self-expression aspects of pop culture.
