Science journalist Melissa Sevigny’s retraces the journey of Elzada Clover and Lois Jotter as they survey the full plant ecology of the treacherous Colorado River. The full story is captured in Sevigny’s new book Brave the Wild River: The Untold Story of Two Women Who Mapped the Botany of the Grand Canyon. KGNU’s Benita Lee had the chance to interview Sevigny.

Thank you W.W. Norton for a copy of the book!
