OutSources: David Ortiz, Public Service Warrior

Former Colorado State Representative David Ortiz is a long-time warrior of the type we actually need. His insightful words from 2021 should be ones we thoughtfully consider. First to be a wheelchair user in the Colorado House chamber; first to be an out bisexual member of the House; a sponsor of bringing the federal ADA into law in Colorado. As we acknowledge the July 17,1990 anniversary of the Americans with Disabilities Act signed by President Bush, we should reflect on where we are and how far we still have to go to reach even reasonable equity for us all in so many areas.
