Former Boulder Mayor and Boulder County Commissioner Will Toor helped organize the very first YIMBY (Yes In My Backyard) conference that brought urban planners from around the world to Boulder to discuss development opportunities that cities actually want to bring to their areas. Maeve Conran spoke with him about housing, local politics, and how development can affect Boulder.

Toor says the YIMBY movement has grown out of the idea that we can make our communities better places to live by offering the right kind of development and more affordable housing.
