Emergency Responders in the Front Range have been recruiting and training volunteers to build local capacity to fight wildfires. KGNU’s Rossana Longo-Better spoke with Fritz Koch, firefighter training captain at Boulder Rural Fire and chair of the Boulder County Cooperators about preparing – not only the forest but also our homes – for the fire season.
