This is My Brave Features Real, Honest Stories of Mental Illness

May is Mental Health Awareness Month – This is My Brave, which works with local groups across America to put on productions just like this, a raw forum to put a face and a name to mental health issues, and erase the stigma attached to them. KGNU’s Veronica Straight-Lingo spoke to Kat Atwell, the producer of Denver’s first This is My Brave, about the importance of bringing mental health to the stage. On May 19th at the Oriental Theater in Denver, the project shared stories of real people talking about their own struggles around Mental Health.
