In our studios, during our Connections call-in show, KGNU’s Rossana Longo-Better hosts Jesus Sanchez editor and co-founder of El Comercio de Colorado, legendary journalist Juan Espinosa founder of the Chicano newspaper La Cucaracha, Rachel Pickarski, Media Partnerships Manager with the Colorado Press Association who has been co-leading The Future of Printing Working Group with Carol Wood, Business Innovation from the Colorado News Collaborative to talk and share thoughts about the closing of the Chieftain’s printing operation with 50 employees laid off and 80 publishers affected by the closure throughout Colorado.
