The Future for Oil and Gas Regulation in Colorado

A bill that will overhaul the way the state regulates drilling was passed by the state Senate earlier this month. The lower chamber did adopt a number of amendments to  Senate Bill 181, which were offered by Republicans. One amendment to the bill would place conditions on the regulations local communities could place on drilling – limiting them to addressing surface impacts in a reasonable manner. Becker said that the changes are important, necessary and reasonable.

Joe Salazar, Executive Director of Colorado Rising joins us to discuss the bill and the future of oil and gas regulation in the state.
