Tech Talks: Sphero

Tech Talks host Aabriti Shrestha who is a senior at Skyline High School in Longmont talks with Ross Ingram, Community Manager at Sphero.

Sphero is helping to get kids interested in programming. Ross says they want to make “app enabled experiences” or connected play interfaces. Most of their customers are children, but they also sell a lot of products to people interested in gadgets in general. Their newest product, the BB8 is based off of a droid from the newest Star Wars film.

An application connects your robot to your phone via Bluetooth low energy. This product is meant to give people a sense of fun and enjoyment. As successful as BB8 is slated to be, they have many future products planned.
