Su Teatro Holds Public Events in Aspergren Park, Paco Sanchez to Commemorate Four Directions Tradition

Su Teatro is celebrating the end of summer with a series of  back to school jams. On August 24, they’ll be at Aspergren Park and on August 30th they’ll be at Paco Sanchez Park, with ice cream, food and fun youth theatre activities. These final two celebrations at these two parks were selected specifically so that Su Teatro can celebrate the four corners tradition of the Lakota culture. They are both South and west of the Su Teatro Cultural and Performing Arts Center. KGNU’s Veronica Straight-Lingo spoke with Executive Artistic Director Tony Garcia about the events, and the significance of holding them at four directions from Su Teatro.
